Water supply returning in Kilcommon after successful mains repair

Normal water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Kilcommon following the successful repair of a burst water main which had caused an interruption to local homes and businesses earlier today.

Customers in Scraggaun, Fanit, Killeen, Upperchurch, Rearcross, Reardnogy More, Kilcommon and surrounding areas in Co. Tipperary and the surrounding areas were impacted by the burst.

While the burst is repaired and the network is refilling, full supply is not expected to return to all customers until 8am tomorrow, Wednesday, morning. An alternative water supply in the form of a tanker has been made available for impacted customers. This will be available at Rearcross from 6 pm today.

Customers are reminded to bring their own containers when drawing water from the tanker, and to boil the water before use as a precautionary measure. Great care should be taken with boiled water to avoid burns and scalds as accidents can easily happen, especially with children.

We wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while these repairs were underway.”
