Water supply returning to customers in Mountbellew following repairs

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Mountbellew following repairs to a burst water main in Rahin that affected Mountbellew town, Moylough and Newbridge.

Uisce Éireann crews have completed repairs to the water main, and supply is now expected to return to all customers over the course of this evening.

Uisce Éireann’s Operations Manager Gerard Greally said: “We understand the disruption an unplanned outage like this can cause and would like to thank customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.”

Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers. However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
