Water supply returning to customers in Bray following repairs
28 March 2026
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in The Nurseries area of Bray, Co Wicklow, following repairs to a burst water main.
Uisce Éireann crews have completed repairs to the main, and water is now restoring to the majority of impacted customers. However, a second, smaller burst is resulting in lower water pressure for approximately 20 homes in the Oldcourt Drive area. Crews are currently investigating the precise location of this burst and will carry out repairs as quickly as possible to restore normal pressure.
Uisce Éireann’s Thomas Brennan said: “We understand the disruption an unplanned outage like this can cause and would like to thank customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst. While supply is now restoring to most customers, a small number of homes in the Oldcourt Drive area may continue to experience low pressure due to a separate issue, which our crews are actively working to resolve.”
Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers. However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278, and customers can also contact us on X @IWCare with any queries.
