Supply returning to customers in Clonmel area after successful repairs
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Killurney, Clonmel this evening after the successful repair of a burst water main.
Uisce Éireann crews have completed their repairs to the burst main and supply is now returning to customers impacted by this morning’s outage.
Pierce Faherty of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted residents and businesses owners for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.
“This was a significant burst which took time for our crews to successfully repair,” said Pierce. “We understand the inconvenience caused by unplanned outages and we thank impacted customers for their cooperation while repairs were ongoing.”
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network. As this was a significant burst, some customers may not have full supply restored until early on Monday morning.
