Major leak repair successfully completed in north County Dublin

28 April 2026

Uisce Éireann crews have successfully repaired a major leak in north County Dublin and supply is now returning to all affected customers.

Areas affected included Swords, Dublin Airport, Santry, Malahide, Portmarnock, Kinsealy, Lissenhall, Donabate, Portrane, Clarehall, Malahide Road, Donaghmede, and surrounding areas.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Uisce Éireann’s Tselopile Tlou thanked affected customers for their understanding while the repair works were being carried out.

Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage such as this one and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while these repairs were underway,” he said.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. To register as a vulnerable customer or as an alternative contact, visit our Vulnerable Customers page.
