Essential water upgrade works progressing well in Celbridge

Uisce Éireann is making progress on the Celbridge to Newcastle water mains replacement project, which will provide a more reliable water supply, reduce high levels of leakage and address persistent bursts on the network.

As part of these vital works, customers in Hazelhatch Road and surrounding areas in Celbridge may experience low pressure or water outages on Tuesday, 12 May.

Customers may experience intermittent outages or low pressure to their supply from 3pm to 8pm on Tuesday.

Customers in Dangan, Straleek, Hazelhatch, Balscott, Loughlinstown, Simmonstown, Coolfitch, Celbridge and surrounding areas may be impacted.

Uisce Éireann’s Nicola Butler said: “We are pleased to be progressing this essential project and while we understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption, we are working closely with our contractor GMC to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses. Our teams will work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible. We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during the works to facilitate the delivery of the project.”
