Water supply returning to customers in Fethard following repair works

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Water supply is returning to impacted Uisce Éireann customers in Fethard following repair work carried out today at Mullenbawn Water Treatment Plant.

Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.

Meanwhile, a supply disruption to customers in The Commons area has been extended until 8am tomorrow, Monday, 13 April. Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to work to restore water supply following a mechanical issue at the local water treatment plant overnight.

Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty thanked customers in the Fethard area for their patience while the works were carried out to restore the supply.

He assured customers in The Commons area that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.

“We acknowledge the impact of an unplanned outage for our customers, and we thank affected residents for their patience while we work to restore supply,” said Pierce.
