Traffic management in place to ensure the safety of crew and the public during repair.

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a major burst to a water main in Lusk. Customers in the area have not been impacted by an interruption to the water supply as crews have adjusted the water network while repairs are underway.

To ensure the safety of the crews carrying out the repairs to the burst and the safety of the public, a road closure is in place on the R132 at Ballough, Lusk.

It is expected that the road will reopen to single lane traffic in the afternoon and fully reopen this evening when the repair has been safely completed. Uisce Éireann are working closely with An Garda Síochána and bus companies at this time.

Uisce Éireann’s Tselo Tlou has assured customers that every effort is being made to undertake the repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

“Our crews are working to ensure water supply to our customers is maintained during the repair of the burst water main. We understand the inconvenience of a road closure and traffic management for the local community, and we thank road users for their support while our works to repair the burst water main continue.”
