Completed upgrade brings a more resilient water supply to Durrow

Uisce Éireann is pleased to confirm the completion of essential water network upgrades on the Derry Road, Durrow, significantly strengthening the security and reliability of the local drinking water supply.

The project, delivered by Shareridge under Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme, replaced more than 1km of ageing watermains with new, modern pipes. These upgrades will improve the resilience of the network, reduce the risk of supply interruptions, and minimise the amount of clean water lost through leaks.

Dave Murphy, Portfolio Manager at Uisce Éireann, said the completion of the works marks an important milestone for the community in Durrow. “These upgrades will provide customers with a more secure and reliable water supply by eliminating existing leaks and strengthening the performance of the network. We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support as we carried out these essential works.”
