Burst Water main affecting supply in Ballina

Pearse street and surrounding area will see reduced pressure and supply while the repair takes place

Uisce Éireann working in partnership with Mayo County Council have mobilised crews and are working to repair a burst water main on Pearse Street in Ballina and also on the Bunree Road. The Pearse street and surrounding area will see reduced pressure and supply while the repair takes place. Pearse Street will be closed to traffic, with diversions in place from Dunnes Stores roundabout at the bottom of Pearse Street, Penny’s AIB car park will be accessed vi Market Street. The streets affected are;

Pearse Street, Humbert Street, Dillon Terrace, Emmett Street, Bachelors Walk, Nally Street, Castlecourt, Bellek Rd and surrounding area, Beleek Lodge and Arbuckle Road. Houses on the Bunree Road will be affected also. 

It is estimated the repair will be complete by 17:00pm this afternoon.
