Bundoran water outage: Crews on site repairing trunk main burst
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Those who live or work in Bundoran may be experiencing a loss of water supply this afternoon due to a major burst on a trunk main.
Our specialised repair crews are on site now working to repair the burst and restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in the town and surrounding areas as quickly as possible.
Providing an update from site Adrian Gillespie of Uisce Éireann said:
“The team knows how disruptive an unexpected burst can be. Our main priority this afternoon is fixing this burst so the network around Bundoran can refill, and water returns to all our customers. We really appreciate everyone in the community bearing with us while our crews get water back to homes and businesses.
“It’s a large burst and we expect it will take until approximately 11pm tonight to fix it. Then it can take two or three hours before the system refills and normal supply is returned to everyone.”
We understand that a water outage can be more than an inconvenience for customers who rely on a continuous water supply for medical reasons.
