Experience Based Accreditation Scheme
Irish Water's Experience Based Accreditation means a Contractor has demonstrated the required level of experience to carry out Self-Lay works in the public road (view criteria for inclusion in the Self-Lay Programme). This scheme was established in partnership with Developers and Contractors on June 24th 2022. Below you can view a list of Contractors who are accredited by Irish Water, or alternatively apply to become an accredited Contractor.
Supporting housing delivery
This Experience Based Accreditation scheme facilitates the delivery of water service infrastructure to support housing in Ireland. It does this by recognising best practice standards for the Self-Lay in the public road of water services infrastructure by Developers and Contractors.
- Maintain consistent high standards for the water infrastructure industry
- Enable the housing industry/Developers to deliver water infrastructure more efficiently
- Support expertise in the water industry by Developers and Contractors through accreditation
