The Programme Analyst will be responsible for supporting the optimisation and prioritisation of investment options against business needs and constraints to ensure financeabilty, balance of risk, and efficient delivery. The role will directly report to the Investment Portfolio Management Lead and will perform analysis to enable effective decision-making to balance competing expectations for asset investment options. The role requires a strong understanding of economic and schedule analysis of infrastructure projects, including risk.
The Asset Investment Management function is accountable for conducting financial analysis on the viability of programmes and projects within Irish Water’s portfolio to support the development of medium and long term asset investment plans. They also facilitate the Investments Approval process for Capital Programmes and Projects and support the business in achieving its required business outcomes, including reporting and information requirements of Irish Water. The function is required to manage the investment portfolio to optimise the investment within budget constraints, to drive effective risk management and to ensure that lessons learnt are taken on board.
