Vartry Water Supply Scheme

The public was consulted and informed throughout the pre-planning process, with a number of amendments made to the development proposals as a direct result of the feedback received.

Planning permission for the upgrade works to the Vartry Water Treatment Plant was granted by Wicklow County Council in November 2016. The details are available on the Wicklow County Council website. The consent was subsequently appealed by third parties. In January 2018, An Bord Pleanála granted consent for the planned upgrade subject to 8 planning conditions.

Information was also provided throughout the construction stages, including notification of works by letter and email.
