Newbridge Wastewater Improvement Project

Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Kildare County Council is upgrading the wastewater network in Newbridge North, Co. Kildare.

Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Kildare County Council has completed essential works to upgrade the wastewater network in Newbridge North, Co. Kildare. The works were carried out as part of Uisce Éireann’s Growth and Development Programme.

The works in Newbridge North commenced in mid-August and consisted of the installation of approximately 230m of new sewer pipeline. The works were part of a project to improve the capacity of the existing sewers in the area to support future residential development.

The works were carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann by Coffey Construction Ltd. and were completed in December 2022.

What are the benefits?

The works carried out as part of this project will:

• Support social and economic development – This project will facilitate social and economic growth, including planned residential development in Newbridge.

• Improve the sewer network - The planned sewer upgrade will improve the performance of the existing network in the area.
