Rooskey Village Water Main Replacement
Irish Water, in partnership with Roscommon County Council, is replacing ageing water mains in Rooskey Village to improve security of supply, improve water quality and reduce high levels of leakage
The works involve the replacement of approximately 860 metres of aged cast iron water mains with high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes. The programme to replace ageing water mains in Rooskey Village is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks. These works are being carried out as part of Irish Water’s national Leakage Reduction Programme.
The section of works will begin at the R371/L-1415 junction and finish at the River Shannon Bridge. Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works. Local and emergency access will be maintained at all times.Irish Water and Roscommon Co. Council regret any inconvenience caused during the works.
