  • These works will deliver cost savings by providing improved water network operation that will require less maintenance in the future

Steps

  • The works will involve the decommissioning and replacement of approximately 1.1 kilometres of ageing cast iron water mains works beginning at Cloontagh National School
  • The existing pipes will be replaced with new modern high density polyethylene plastic pipes
  • The works will also involve laying new water service connections from the public water main in the road to customers’ property boundaries and connecting it to the customer’s water supply
  • Where the existing service connections on the public side are lead these will be replaced
  • The works will commence on the week commencing 14th May and are expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete
