Ballycastle Water Main Upgrade
Irish Water is progressing works to ensure Ballycastle residents and businesses enjoy increased water quality.
Irish Water, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, is progressing essential water main installation works in Ballycastle to improve the water supply for 360 local residents and businesses.
These water main installation works involve connecting the Ballycastle Public Water Supply to the Ballina Regional Water Supply Scheme (Lacken Reservoir) to ensure the residents and business of Ballycastle have access to a secure and clean water supply. The works are being carried out by Source Civil Ltd on behalf of Irish Water.

Steps
- Installing 6km of new interconnecting mains pipe from the existing Lacken Reservoir to the Ballycastle Public Water Supply
