Works underway to restore water supply to Cliffoney customers

Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Sligo County Council, wishes to advise customers in Cliffoney Village that a burst watermain will have an impact on their water supply today.

Commenting Georgina O’Reilly, Asset Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said: “This morning a watermain on the North Sligo Water Supply Scheme burst, which has resulted in a number customers being affected. Areas affected include Cliffoney Village, Creevykeel, Bunduff, Greelagh, Carranduff, Castlegal and all areas between Harrisons Pub to Bunduff Bridge along the N15 including all branch lines and surrounding areas.

A crew is carrying out emergency repairs as quickly and safely as possible and traffic management will be in place while these essential works are underway. It is likely water supply will be off until 6pm today but it may take 2-3 hours for normal supply to return.
