Works to repair burst pipe in Miltown Malbay area
Works have an estimated completion time of 6pm this evening, Friday 11 May
Irish Water and Clare County Council are carrying out repairs to a burst water main which is causing supply disruptions to customers in West Clare. The areas affected include Miltown Malbay, Mullagh, Spanish Point, Creegh, Cooraclare and surrounding group water schemes and areas.
Works have an estimated completion time of 6pm this evening but supply may take 2-3 hours to fully return to all affected properties.
We are working at this time, with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services. Irish Water would like to remind people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.
We understand the inconvenience when emergency works needs to be carried out and thank customers for their patience while we work on the water main and restore normal supply to impacted customers.
