Works to repair a burst watermain on the Castlerea Regional Water Supply Scheme
Crews are working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible
Irish Water is working in partnership with Roscommon County Council to repair a burst watermain which may impact the water supply to homes and businesses in Lisacul Village, Feigh, Shannon’s Cross, Briarfield, Silverfield, Curraghasallagh, Clooncloy and surrounding area. Some customers may be experiencing low water pressure and water outages.
Crews are working to repair the burst as quickly and as safely as possible to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses. It is expected that the repair will be completed by lunchtime and it may take 2-3 hours for normal supply to return to all impacted customers as the network refills.
Irish Water and Roscommon County Council understand the inconvenience when a burst occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to repair the burst and restore normal supply to impacted customers. Irish Water and Roscommon County Council regret any inconvenience caused and would like to remind customers to continue following HSE Covid-19 advice on handwashing.
Irish Water would like to assure customers that we are working at this time with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
