Restoring water supply in Rathpeacon/Whites Cross, Cork following pipe burst
Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, is working to restore the water supply in the Rathpeacon/Whites Cross area of Cork following a burst pipe.
Approximately 100 properties water supply interrupted
The areas affected include Rathpeacon, Monard, Killeens, Kilcully and Whites Cross. Approximately 100 properties have been affected by a water supply interruption since Saturday evening due to a burst water main.
Repair expected to be completed later this evening
Crews have been on the ground since Monday morning and repair work is continuing. Due to the weather conditions yesterday, it was proving difficult to repair the burst safely. It is expected that with improved site conditions, the repair will be completed and normal water supply resumed later this evening. Full water service may take some time to return as water refills the network.
