Williamstown water conservation notice has been lifted
Irish Water would like to advise consumers on the Williamstown water supply in Co Galway that the water conservation notice that was issued in June has been lifted.
Due to the unseasonably dry weather leading up to the month of June, which resulted in historically low water levels, Irish Water had no option but to appeal to the consumers of the scheme to conserve water where possible. Water stores on the scheme have now been replenished.
Irish Water and Galway County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the public for their co-operation.
With demand on water supplies expected to increase significantly over the summer months, Irish Water and Galway County Council are asking people supplied by this scheme to continue to report any leaks they see on the public network by calling our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278.
