We're working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to customers in Turlough

22 October 2023

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Impacted areas include Turlough and Bellharbour

Uisce Éireann and Clare County Council advise customers in Turlough of a disruption to supply due to a technical issue impacting production at Turlough Water Treatment Plant. As a result, Uisce Éireann customers in Turlough, Bellharbour and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages until works are complete. A full water supply is expected to be restored to all customers overnight.

Water services experts are on site working hard to carry out repairs and restore normal water supply as quickly as possible. As per best practice, most homes and businesses will have on-site water storage to provide a backup source of water for sanitation purposes. Uisce Éireann advises customers to familiarise themselves with their storage capacity.

Uisce Éireann’s Darragh Conneely, said, “Uisce Éireann and Clare County Council understand the inconvenience caused when unplanned outages occur. We would like to assure customers that we are working hard to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.”

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.

The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is also open 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
