May cause disruption to supply for homes and businesses tomorrow Thursday May 23 from 7.00am to 10.00am
Irish Water wish to advise customers on Main Street, Wicklow Town that there may be disruption to their water supply from 7.00am to 10.00am on Thursday 23 May 2019 as a result of watermain improvement works.
Reduced water pressure and water outages
During these essential planned works homes and businesses on the Main Street, Wicklow Town area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of these works water it may take 2-3 hours for water supply to return to normal for all impacted properties.
We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and will ensure our work crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these works may cause. Customers can call our customer helpline on 1850 278 278 with any questions in relation to the works.
Part of Leakage Reduction Programme
These works are being carried out as part of our national Leakage Reduction Programme which will, over the next 4 years, see €500 million invested to reduce the level of leakage across the country by fixing and replacing ageing water mains. This will ensure a safe, reliable water supply which is vital for our health, our environment and our growing population and economy.
