Water supply being restored to Ballydesmond
Water is now beginning to restore to customers
Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, is working to restore water in Ballydesmond in response to a water supply issue that occurred yesterday in the village.
Water is now beginning to restore to customers. Full water service may take some time to return, as water refills the pipe network.
In the meantime, temporary water stations have been established at the following locations:
- Ballydesmond GAA Club, Ballydesmond, Ballydesmond.
- Post Code P51 EE 9W
- Saint Patrick’s Church, Church Road, Ballydesmond.
- Post Code P51 XH05
Please bring clean containers boil water before use
Customers are reminded to bring clean containers and to boil water taken from these stations before use, as a precaution.
Margaret Attridge, Irish Water Regional Operations Manager, “We wish to apologise to the local community in Ballydesmond for this interruption to their water supply. Our teams have been working to restore water and we expect water to return to all customers in the coming hours.”
