Water restrictions will be in place for customers in Athlone Town, Annagh, Baylin, Mount Temple and Ories
Water restrictions from 8pm Tuesday to 8am Wednesday
Irish Water is advising customers in Co Westmeath following the extremely cold weather conditions, exceptionally high water demand and a number of large bursts on the network a few weeks ago the Annagh reservoir supplying customers in Athlone Town, Annagh, Baylin, Mount Temple, Ories areas is struggling to keep up with supply demands.
All customers are being asked to conserve water to avoid the Annagh reservoir emptying and water pressure to homes and businesses being affected. Water restrictions will be in place from 8pm tonight to 8am on Wednesday, 14 March 2018 for customers in Athlone Town, Annagh, Baylin, Mount Temple, Ories areas to allow water levels in reservoirs to refill. A water supply will be maintained to Athlone Town Centre.
Irish Water working in partnership with Westmeath County Council acknowledge the hardship to customers that this inconvenience this is causing and thanks them while we work to restore reservoir levels.
