A water supply will be maintained to Athlone Town Centre and the West side of Athlone
Irish Water is reminding customers in Athlone and surrounding areas, that following an electrical fault at the Athlone Water Treatment Plant on Saturday 12th May, treated water levels in reservoirs on the Athlone Public Water Supply Scheme are very low. As a result, restrictions are required to allow water levels in the Annagh reservoir, supplying customers in parts of Athlone Town, Annagh, Baylin, Mount Temple and Ories areas, to continue to refill.
Restrictions will be in place from 8pm Wednesday 16th May to 8am on Thursday, 17th May 2018.
This action is being taken to ensure that there is an adequate quantity of water available to supply industries, schools, residences and commercial activities during business hours.
A water supply will be maintained to Athlone Town Centre and the West side of Athlone
Customers are being asked to conserve water.
Updates will also be posted to the Water Supply Updates section.
