Ballinacarrigy, Kinnegad, Killucan, Milltownpass, Mullingar East, Mullingar West, Rochfortbridge, Ballinalack, Rathowen and Bunbrosna
Irish Water is advising customers on parts of the Mullingar Regional Water Supply Scheme that due to a mechanical failure, water production has been restricted at the Water Treatment Plant in Portloman, water restrictions are necessary from 9pm tonight Tuesday September 18th until 6am tomorrow Wednesday 19th in order to allow reservoir levels to replenish.
Water restrictions Tuesday September 18 from 9pm to 6am Wednesday 19
The restrictions will be in place in Ballinacarrigy, Kinnegad, Killucan, Milltownpass, Mullingar East, Mullingar West, Rochfortbridge, Ballinalack, Rathowen and Bunbrosna tonight, Tuesday September 18 from 9pm to 6am to allow reservoir levels to replenish.
Irish Water currently has a contractor on site investigating the source of the problem which is resulting in reduced treated water production at the Portloman Plant. It is likely that further overnight restrictions may be necessary to allow the treated reservoir to fully recover, once the production problem is fixed.
Please continue to conserve water where possible
Customers in restricted areas are being asked to conserve water as water supply is under pressure.
