Part of national Leakage Reduction Programme

Irish Water wishes to advise customers that as part of water mains improvement works, there may be disruption to the water supply from 7pm to 11pm on Tuesday 16 July in the following areas:

Christian Brothers Cork, Brue College, Goldsmith’s Avenue, Sarsfield’s Terrace, Rathmore Terrace, Landsdowne Court, Christian Brothers’ College Rugby Club, Rathmore Park, Sutton’s Buildings, Roche’s Buildings, Pope’s Hill, Rockwell Terrace, Granary Court Apartments, Sandymount Court, Eazy City Cork Accommodation, The Avenue, Little Miracles Childcare, Seana Mhuileann Apartments, Revenue Regional Offices, Ard Patrick, The Close, Assumption Road, Graffiti Theatre Company Limited, Mount Farran Place, Farran Cleary Place and surrounding areas in Ardpatrick/Blackpool.

Reduced water pressure and water outages

During these essential planned works, homes and businesses in the above areas area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following these improvement works, water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network.
Irish Water understands this type of work can be inconvenient and will ensure our work crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these works may cause.

Project will ensure a safe and reliable water supply

These works are being carried out as part of Irish Water’s national Leakage Reduction Programme which will, over the next 4 years, see €500 million invested to reduce the level of leakage across the country by fixing and replacing ageing water mains. This will ensure a safe, reliable water supply which is vital for our health, our environment and our growing population and economy.
