Update on Ballyragget Water Treatment Plant
The Ballyragget Water Treatment Plant is back in production
The Ballyragget Water Treatment Plant is back in production and the water quality issues as a result of recent flooding have been resolved. Normal water supply has been restored to most customers in the impacted area, however supply to customers at higher levels and out-lying areas will be restored later today.
Customers should not be concerned if they have any discolouration in their water when it's switched back on, allow the tap to run until the water runs clear.
A tanker will remain in place at the Glenvale car park until all customers have had their water supply restored. Customers must bring their own water containers to collect water from the tanker and all water from the tanker must be boiled before use for drinking, cooking, preparing food, making ice and brushing teeth.
Irish Water and Kilkenny County Council apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused as a result of this issue and thank them for their patience while we worked to resolve the issue.
