Irish Water and Westmeath County Council working on fixing burst as quickly as possible

The major burst on a water main on the Ballymahon Road which occurred at 2:30am this morning is resulting in a disruption to the water supply for customers in Annagh, Ballykeeran, Glasson, Mount Temple and Ories. However, as the water level in the Annagh reservoir drops, customers on the east side of Athlone will experience reductions in water pressure and widespread disruptions to water supply this afternoon.

Irish Water and its agents Westmeath County Council apologise to its customers impacted by this burst and wish to reassure customers that we are currently working on isolating and fixing this burst as quickly as possible. The current estimated time for restoration of supply is 8pm this evening. Updates on the burst can be found on our Water Supply Updates section. You can also contact our customer care helpline, open 24/7, on 1850 278 278 quoting this unique reference number WME015467.
