Update at 10pm - Burst water main for customers in Monard, Killeens and Rathpeacon
Irish Water and Cork County Council are continuing to work on a burst water main that may cause supply disruptions for some customers in Monard, Killeens, Rathpeacon, Whitechurch, Kilcully and surrounding areas in Co. Cork.
The burst pipe is located under a large culvert and is a complex repair. It is now expected that the burst will be complete by Saturday afternoon.
In the meantime supplies of bottled water are available at The Country Squire car park in Rathpeacon and will continue to be provided until the water supply is restored to customers.
Irish Water would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this incident which we are working on as a matter of priority. We thank customers for their patience will the repair work is carried out.
