Repairs to burst water main in Killarney complete
Irish Water and Kerry County Council are working hard to restore a full water supply to customers in Killarney and surrounding areas following a burst pipe that occurred yesterday evening.
Repair crews worked on site since yesterday, right through the night, to successfully repair the burst water main in the Park Road area. The repair work was further complicated by an airlock in the network, which is impacting flows to reservoirs at this time.
Additional crews are working to locate the airlock and any other potential network restrictions at this time.
In the meantime, Customers east side of the town and also customers in the greater Farranfore, Firies, Currow, Cordal, Ballymacelligott and Ballyfinnane may be experiencing water outages. Alternative water supplies are being brought in to the areas impacted and Irish Water will provide updates on the location of these alternative supplies as soon as they are available.
Irish Water and Kerry County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this unplanned incident and thank customers in the areas impacted for their patience as we work to resolve it.
If you require more information or assistance please log on to the Water Supply Updates section or call our customer care helpline on 1850 278 278.
