Planned water outage for parts of Athlone and surrounding areas from 6am until 10pm on Wednesday, 23 May 2018
Planned outage due to essential maintenance work at Battery Heights Reservoir
Irish Water wishes to advise customers in Athlone and surrounding areas that essential maintenance work will be carried out at the Battery Heights Reservoir in Athlone on Wednesday, 23 May. These works may cause disruption to the water supply for customers in Connaught Street, Main Street, Grace Road, Castle Street, Deerpark, Parnell Square, Pearse Street, Old Galway Road, Baylough Roscommon Road and surrounding areas in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
The work will take place from 6am to 10pm on Wednesday 23 May 2018
The work is being carried out to replace an ageing valve at the Battery Heights reservoir to secure the water supply for customers. The work will take place from 6am to 10pm on Wednesday 23 May 2018. The water supply will restore to customers as the network refills. It can take a number of hours for the water to restore to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network once the water supply is turned back on.
A water supply will be maintained to the east side of Athlone Town Centre, Coosan, Ballykeeran, Glasson, Baylin, Mount Temple and Ories.
