Malfunction at the Portmarnock pumping station
Irish Water working in partnership with Fingal County Council can confirm that works to a pipeline and manhole at Portmarnock Beach were completed today (Saturday). Works commenced early this morning to repair a section of collapsed pipe which was removed and replaced. Repair works were also undertaken to the damaged manhole. All debris was removed from the surrounding area.
A malfunction to the Portmarnock pumping station which resulted in a wastewater discharge was resolved yesterday (Friday) and the pumping station has been operating as normal since then.
Irish Water and Fingal County Council regret any inconvenience caused.
