Irish Water working to restore water supply in Ballydesmond
Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, is working to restore the water supply in Ballydesmond.
We will keep the local community informed as we work to restore their water supply.
Temporary water stations have been established at the following locations:
- Ballydesmond GAA Club, Ballydesmond, Ballydesmond. Post Code: P51 EE 9W
- Saint Patrick’s Church, Church Road, Ballydesmond. Post Code: P51 XH05
Customers are reminded to bring clean containers and to boil water taken from these stations before use, as a precaution.
Margaret Attridge, Irish Water Regional Operations Manager, “We wish to apologise to the local community in Ballydesmond for this interruption to their water supply. We understand the disruption caused and are working with Cork County Council and other stakeholders to restore their water as quickly as possible.”
Local schools and businesses have been contacted and we are proactively contacting vulnerable customers in the area to determine their water requirements. Any Vulnerable Customers who are not registered with Irish Water should contact us at 1850 278 278.
