Uisce Éireann working in partnership with Dublin City Council is carrying out essential watermain improvement works on the South Circular Road in order to safeguard the water supply to homes and businesses in the area. The works involving the replacement of old cast iron watermains with a new watermain are being delivered by GMC Utilities on behalf of Uisce Éireann are expected to take place over two weekends; Saturday 20 February and Sunday 21 February and again on Saturday 27 February and Sunday 28 February. Areas of work will be limited to short sections to minimise impact on customers. Traffic management will be in place to facilitate the safe delivery of the works, while local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.

Whilst Uisce Éireann and Dublin City Council have reconfigured the network to maintain normal supply to as many properties as possible, some customers may experience lower than normal water pressure on Sunday 21 February. Properties at the following locations may be impacted by lower water pressure on Sunday 21 February; South Circular Road; Rialto; Warrenmount; Dolphins Barn; Donore Avenue; The Liberties and surrounding areas.

Furthermore, whilst every effort has been made to limit the impact of these essential works a small number of properties will experience water outages.
