Irish Water, working in partnership with Dublin City Council, Wicklow and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils investigated reports of a disruption to supply in a number of areas in North Wicklow including Kilpedder, Kilmacanogue and Newtown Mount Kennedy and Ballyman in Co Dublin. The issue has now been resolved and the water supply is returning to normal.

Impacted customers may continue to experience temporary disruptions such low water pressure and/or water outages until 2pm this afternoon as water refills the network but it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.

Irish Water continues to work at this time with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services. Irish Water would like to remind people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.

Irish Water, working in partnership with Dublin City Council, Wicklow and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils are investigating a supply outage in a number of areas in North Wicklow including Kilpedder, Kilmacanogue and Newtown Mount Kennedy and Ballyman in Co Dublin.

Crews are currently assessing the network and plant at Vartry to determine the cause of the interruption. We would ask all customers in the North Wicklow area, Ballyman and those on the Vartry supply who aren’t currently affected by an interruption to supply, to conserve water at this time.
