Essential works being carried out in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses

19 January 2021

Uisce Éireann is working with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to carry out essential work on the network at the junction of Fluerville Road and Newtown Park Avenue tomorrow 20 January, in line with Covid-19 protocols.

Uisce Éireann in collaboration with local authorities in the Greater Dublin Area has reconfigured the network to ensure continuity of supply to almost all properties, however some may experience lower than normal water pressure.

Once the essential works are completed tomorrow evening, normal water supply will be restored to any impacted properties. Properties in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply, mainly lower pressure, while these works are underway; Blackrock; Frascati; Monkstown; Carrickbrennan; Stradbrook; Cumberland and surrounding areas.

Uisce Éireann continues to work at this time, with our Local Authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services. Uisce Éireann would like to remind people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.

Uisce Éireann thanks customers for their patience while we carry out these essential works. Uisce Éireann regrets any inconvenience caused.
