Irish Water and Kerry County Council prioritising returning water supply to all Customers on Central Regional Water Supply Scheme
Irish Water and Kerry County Council are working hard to restore a full water supply to customers in Killarney and surrounding areas following a burst pipe that occurred on Sunday evening.
Repair crews worked right through the night and repaired the burst water main in the Park Road area. Supply restoration has been further complicated by airlocks in the network, which are impacting flows to reservoirs at this time. Specialist crews are continuing to search for potential airlocks that are restricting flow in the network. Due to the difficulties being encountered, supply interruptions to Customers in the Leith, Kilflynn ,Ballyconnell, Mountcoal and Six Crosses areas will occur early tonight. A number of network management measures are being put in place in an effort to maintain supply to the greater Killarney and Tralee areas.
Customers on the east side of Killarney town and parts of the Kilcummin area also customers in the greater Farranfore, Firies, Currow, Cordal, Ballymacelligott and Ballyfinnane are currently experiencing water outages.
