Works involved the replacement of almost 800 meters of old and problematic water mains 

  • Works took place in the Kilpatrick and Ballinea areas of Mullingar
  • Customers can now enjoying a more secure water supply

Ballycastle customers enjoying enhanced water quality following connection to Ballina supply

Works to connect Ballycastle Public Water Supply to Lacken Reservoir are due to be complete next week.

  • Six kilometres of new water mains have been laid
  • Customers may experience outages on Monday, 11 Jan and Tuesday, 12 Jan

Night-time restrictions in Foxford in order to safeguard the water supply

Water restrictions will be in place Tuesday 5 January from 10pm until 7am tomorrow morning

  • Restrictions are necessary to allow reservoirs
  • There were a number of watermain bursts in the town 
  • Crews are working to repair as quickly as possible

Major burst water main affecting customers in Barna and Moycullen has been repaired

Customers in Barna, Moycullen, Knocknacarra will experience low water pressure and water outages on Friday 1 January

  • Repairs to restore supply following a burst watermain are now complete
  • Water supply may take 1-2 hours to return as water refills the network
  • Some customers may experience airlocks in their internal plumbing

Cavan Regional Water Supply Scheme has been impacted as a result of a power outage at the plant due to Storm Bella.
