Gort customers may experience water supply interruption due to Storm Eleanor
Customers asked to conserve water until electricity supply is restored
A power outage, as a result of storm Eleanor has impacted the pumping station at Gort in Co. Galway. The ESB are currently on site carrying out repairs. We don’t have an estimate time for when the electricity supply will be restored.
Some customers may be experiencing an interruption to their water supply as the water level in the reservoir is depleted . Once power is restored it will take a number of hours for the water supply to be restored to all customers and for the reservoir to refill.
We ask customers in the Gort area who have a mains water supply to conserve their water until the electricity supply is restored to the pumping station. Customers will be kept up to date on the service and supply section of our website on www.water.ie and on Twitter @IWCare.
Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 and customers can quote the unique reference GAL 017013. We thank customers for their patience while work is carried out to restore the electricity supply at the pumping station and to restore the water supply for impacted customers.
