Galway City water supplies restored
Water levels restored at the Tonabrocky reservoir
Irish Water worked in partnership with Galway City Council to repair a burst water main which supplies the Tonabrocky reservoir in Galway City. The burst occurred on Friday and was repaired by 5am on Saturday morning. As a result of the burst, water levels in the Tonabrocky reservoir had depleted. Water levels have now restored in the reservoir and customers have access to a normal water supply.
Irish Water and Galway City Council apologise to customers who were impacted by the burst and would like to thank residents, businesses and visitors in the affected areas of Galway City for their patience and understanding while a normal water supply was restored to all customers. Customers can contact the Irish Water customer care helpline on 1850 278 278 if they have any follow-up queries.
