Galmoy Boil Water Notice lifted with immediate effect
120 households removed from Boil Water Notice
Irish Water and Kilkenny County Council wish to notify all customers on the Galmoy Replacement Water Supply Scheme and the Galmoy Group Water Scheme which serves approximately 120 houses in Co. Kilkenny and a small number of houses in Co. Laois, that the boil water notice issued on the supply on 8 July 2016 is now lifted with immediate effect.
This follows remedial measures including cleaning of the local reservoir and subsequent testing which has addressed any concerns re water quality issues in the area. Customers can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.
Irish Water and the Local Authority/Health Service Executive Water Quality Liaison Group will continue to meet and will review ongoing process control, monitoring and testing of the drinking water supply.
The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre (1850 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to this water notice.
