Essential works at the Mulhussey Reservoir in Meath
Works may cause disruption to supply in Mulhussey and surrounding areas from 7pm on Sunday 31 March to Monday April 1
Irish Water wish to advise customers that essential works will be carried out at the Mulhussey reservoir in Meath from 7pm on Sunday 31 March to 6pm on Monday 1 April 2019. The works include cleaning the reservoir in order to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in the area. The Mulhussey reservoir is the thirty-first reservoir to be cleaned by us in the county as part of a national reservoir cleaning programme. The main aim of the programme is to ensure water quality is maintained and to identify and address any maintenance issues.
Possible reduced pressure, water outages or temporary discolouration
During these essential planned works homes and businesses in the area supplied by the reservoir may be impacted by reduced water pressure, water outages or temporary discolouration of the water. The areas impacted include; Mulhussey; Dunboyne-Summerhill Road; Jenkinstown; Kilcloon; Blackhall; Barstown; Moyglare; Collistown; Pagestown and surrounding areas. Following these essential works normal water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network.
