Irish Water would like to advise customers that, due to bursts on the water network today, the planned water disruption, scheduled from 9am until 5pm today, Tuesday 23 July, for customers in South Louth and East Meath has been postponed. This outage was planned to facilitate essential upgrade works at the Staleen Water Treatment Plant. We will advise of the rescheduled works dates in due course.
Burst to be repaired by 11:30pm
We are working with Louth County Council and are continuing repair works on a burst main in Drogheda. Works are progressing well, and are expected to be completed by 11:30pm tonight, when water will begin to be restored. Full water service may take some time to return as water refills the network.
Area affected includes Donore Industrial Estate and surrounds
Crews are on the ground, and network management of water supply is being carried out to minimise the area affected by this disruption. The area affected includes the Donore Industrial Estate and surrounds.
