04 July 2022

Uisce Éireann is working in partnership with Galway City Council to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in Dangan and Bushypark in Galway City.

Essential water mains rehabilitation works are scheduled to take place from 8pm this evening Monday 4 July, until 4am Tuesday 5 July. During the works, customers in Dangan, Bushypark and surrounding areas may experience temporary, intermittent low pressure and/or water outages. Typically, it takes two to three hours following restoration time for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas.

Speaking about the works, Rónan Daly, Uisce Éireann said, “Uisce Éireann understands that this type of work can be inconvenient and, working in partnership with Galway City Council, we will make every effort to minimise the disruption that these necessary works may cause."

Rónan added: “Customers may experience some temporary discolouration of water following the works and occasionally issues such as internal airlocks may arise. For advice on clearing discoloration and airlocks, visit the Supply Issues Following an Outage section of the website.”
