Essential maintenance works underway at Vartry Reservoir

Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Dublin City Council, is carrying out essential and routine maintenance works at Vartry Reservoir.

While these maintenance works are underway, customers in the following areas may experience a slight increase in the taste and smell of chlorine in their drinking water until Monday 18 April: Newcastle; Newtownmountkennedy; Kilcoole; Kilpedder; Kilmacanogue Fassaroe/Berryfield Lane; Kilcroney; Delgany; Killiskey; Nuns Cross; Coynes Cross; Prospect; Mount John; Timmore Lane; Dunran; Ballyvolan and Kiltimon, in Wicklow, and Ballyman and Kill Lane in South Dublin.

Ensuring our reservoirs are taken care of and properly maintained is an essential part of safeguarding the water supplies to customers’ homes and businesses. Uisce Éireann would like to assure all customers supplied by Vartry Reservoir that the drinking water is safe to drink and the level of chlorine in your water is carefully monitored and controlled to ensure it is maintained at levels that are not harmful to health.
