Emergency works necessary tonight to allow local reservoirs to refill
Irish Water and Fingal County Council wish to advise customers in parts of Balbriggan that emergency works were necessary tonight to allow local reservoirs to refill so that the water supply to local homes and businesses can be safeguarded. It was necessary to restrict the water supply to parts of Balbriggan tonight through to 10am tomorrow morning.
Areas impacted
The following areas will be impacted by low water pressure or in some instance water outages; Dublin Street, Drogheda Street; Cardy Rock Estate; Fulman Street, Clonard St, Church St, Railway St, Mill St, Cardy Rock, Lambeacher Estate and surrounding areas. However it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
It may take a number of hours for normal water supply to be restored to all impacted customers following these emergency works.
Irish Water is working at this time, with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
